Today is the first day of school for kids in Lakewood, Colorado (and all of Jefferson County I believe). More importantly, it was the first day for the Class of 2023. This is my youngest daughter’s first day of Kindergarden.

I needed a headshot for an interview that is going to be published later this month, so I went out in the yard and took one myself.
We were at a friend’s house for dinner recently, and I just happened to catch Nat in this spot. Sometimes random moments work out well.
I recently had the opportunity to go with Jon, Shelby and Owen to Corwina Park (between Morrison and Kittredge) for a family photo shoot. We had a good time, and they saw a park in the mountains that they had not been to before. Corwina is a really good setting for family or senior pictures, and is nice and close to Lakewood. The inbox and calendar are starting to fill up with Senior Portrait requests. I am local to Lakewood High School, Green Mountain High School, Alameda High School and Bear Valley High School. Yearbook headshot deadlines will be upon you faster than you know it (indeed, I can’t believe school starts in roughly 4 weeks), so get your photoshoot scheduled today. We can do urban or mountain. Favorite locations include Red Rocks and spots along Bear Creek toward Kittredge. Rocky Mountain National Park is an option too, but additional fees would apply for travel time.

While on a recent High School Senior photo shoot, I spotted this spiderweb in the sun. Just a quick snapshot, as I had other things to focus on. Been shooting a lot of seniors lately, and it’s been interesting to meet them and hear what their aspirations are.
